Design of Experiments (DOE) in Practice

During this training you will learn how to glean the maximum amount of information out of the minimal number of experiments using statistical methods and software. In this way you will save both time and budget.

Short description

How do you set up a piece of research? How do you design an experiment? Because of stricter quality demands and budget decisions, it is becoming more and more important to tackle research and experiments in a clearly structured manner. This is all the more true when optimizing processes or analyses with multiple variables.

It really pays to think beforehand about any optimizing experiments. During this training you will learn how to glean the maximum amount of information out of the minimal number of experiments using statistical methods and software. This will ensure that you comply with all quality standards simultaneously and within a very short period of time. By doing it this way you will not only save time and costs but you will also reduce any risk of failure.

This course is realized in partnership with Avans+.

Objectives

  • To be able to apply statistical techniques in the setting up of experiments
  • To be able to analyze the conclusions of your own experiments by applying statistical software to the various types of pilot schemes.

Target group

You think and work at HBO (Bachelor) or University (Master) level. You work in a research, technology or development department. You are responsible for  setting up and optimizing experiments and for analyzing and interpreting the results.

Program
