Biotech Training Facility launches three new laboratory courses

Are you interested in learning more about proteomics and genetic engineering? Are you ready to put your gloves on and get to work in the lab? Biotech Training Facility expands its open course portfolio with three new laboratory courses.

The hands-on courses are scheduled to take place in December 2017 and February and March 2018. Trainer is Semih Ekimler, PhD, who has extensive experience in both conducting research work and knowledge transfer to students.

  • Bioinformatics in Proteomics (6 December 2017)
    Get an in-depth understanding in applications of online bioinformatics tools for proteomic research.
  • Introduction to Proteomics (22 and 23 February 2018)
    Learn basic preparative and analytical techniques for proteins, including extraction, quantification, concentration, and expression analysis.
  • Basics of Genetic Engineering (20, 21 and 22 March 2018)
    Gain an understanding of structures and functions of genes and genomes as well as practical experience to isolate genomes, amplify specific genes, and change genomic content.
